This medication belongs to a group of drugs called corticosteroids. It works to reduce and prevent lung swelling and inflammation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Who should be treated with Pulmicort?<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Your doctor may prescribe this medication to treat asthma.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>What are the different forms of Pulmicort?<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Pulmicort is prescribed in two forms: Pulmicort suspension for inhalation via a nebulizer. Pulmicort is also available as a dry powder for inhalation similar to a single-dose inhaler.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>What is the recommended dose of Pulmicort?<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">(1) Adults and children (13 years and older): The usual dose is one to two inhalations per day.
