
What is Fluticasone Inhalation?
Fluticasone is classified as a steroid and works by reducing the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Fluticasone inhalation is used to reduce asthma attacks.

Inhalation spray: Fluticasone Propionate 50 mcg or 125 mcg.
What do you need to know about fluticasone inhalation?

Do not use fluticasone inhalation to treat an asthma attack that has already started; it will not work quickly enough to reverse symptoms. Use a faster-acting inhalation medication to treat an asthma attack.

Contact your doctor if your asthma symptoms do not improve, or if they worsen after using this medication.

If you are using a steroid medication, do not stop using it suddenly.

Allergic asthma.

Early/Late onset asthma.

Asthma prevention.

Severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
How quickly does this medication work?
Improvement in asthma control may occur within 24 hours of starting treatment with fluticasone propionate inhalation, although maximum benefit may not be achieved for one to two weeks or more after starting treatment. Once your asthma condition and symptoms have stabilized, you should always follow up with your doctor.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next regularly scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose according to directions.
What are the possible side effects?
Dry or irritated throat, nasal congestion, hoarseness, or cough may occur as your body adjusts to this medication. Bad taste in the mouth or flu-like symptoms may also occur. White patches in the mouth or on the tongue. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these very unlikely but very serious side effects occur: vision changes, increased thirst or urination, unusual or persistent headache, chest pain or discomfort, numbness/tingling in hands/feet. A serious allergic reaction to this medication is possible, but you should seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.
